Andrew Kotyuk is a conservative Republican running for the California State Assembly. Born and raised in the Inland Empire, he’s a successful small businessman and a very proud Navy veteran. Elected to the San Jacinto City Council in 2010, he’s now serving his third term as Mayor.

On the City Council, Koytuk helped reformed San Jacinto’s underfunded pension system and his leadership has protected local taxpayers from the pension crisis that’s impacted so many other cities in California. Specifically, he required government employees – for the first time – to contribute to their own retirement and he was instrumental in increasing the city’s retirement age. Additionally, he worked not only to revive San Jacinto’s economy, but he also established the San Jacinto Power utility that has resulted in lower electricity rates for residents.

A regional transportation leader, Kotyuk has steadfastly improved our transit infrastructure. Currently, he’s pushing safety and economic corridor improvements on highways 60, 74, 79, 111 and the I-10 freeway. He’s past board chairman of the Southern California Regional Rail Authority Metrolink, a Riverside County Transportation Commission member and past Chairman of the Riverside Transit Authority.

Kotyuk is an education advocate who has focused on increasing high school graduation and college transfer rates. A Water Master board member, he’s helped increased water recharge and storm water collection to fill our aquifer basins. A strong voice for addressing the California homeless problem, he’s working for effective solutions that assist veterans, drug addicts, the mentally ill and those in poverty. And, he’s also shortened public safety response times by adding force multipliers such as K-9s and paramedics to fire engines.

A visionary entrepreneur who’s created hundreds of jobs in various roles, Kotyuk is the founder and CEO of Alpha Wealth Management, a registered investment advisory firm. A graduate of Cal State University San Bernardino, he is CIMA certified by the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Kotyuk also founded a natural gas company, SoCal Propane, which supplies commercial, residential, farming and ranching interests with small town customer service. He completed a $5 million bulk storage and rail project that provides utility as well as emergency propane energy for municipalities, commercial accounts and local residents.

After serving in the Navy from 1995 to 1999, Kotyuk was honorably discharged with a Captain’s Excellence Award for Outstanding Service. As an Avionics Electronics Petty Officer 2nd Class, he’s not only a true patriot, but a strong supporter of President Trump’s fight against the liberal socialists who would destroy our American economy.

Koytuk has memberships in the San Jacinto Chamber of Commerce, VFW, American Legion, NRA and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. He’s also past chairman of the Central County United Way, Diamond Valley Arts Council, Three Peaks Boy Scouts and the California State Outdoor Play (Ramona Pageant). Married to his wife, Amanda, for 20 years, they are the joyful parents of Emily, Grace and Andrew.
